Roy at the 2025 Canadian Screen Awards

Roy was in attendance at the recently held Canadian Screen Awards with his girlfriend Christine. Both of them were nominated but neither won their category. Roy presented one of the final awards of the night, Best Lead Performer--Drama Series. He wore the same suit he wore at last year's Cannes premiere of Rumours.

I think it's a fun coincidence that the category Roy presented is the equivalent to the one Peta Wilson was nominated for several times during the run of LFN when it was called the Gemini Awards.

There's a little banter about Toronto and the Maple Leaf's NHL payoffs performance. Roy offered the winner announcement to his co-presenter but he declined and told Roy that the honor was supposed to be his. Roy quipped that he didn't have his glasses and proceeded to stare pretty intently at the envelope while trying to read the winning name. The entire ceremony is available on YouTube.
